mc today. dun feel lk workin. since stil got the stupid sore throat for lk 2 wks le. oso tom startin the stupid insurance job which is gg to b xiong, cos kip tellin me to finish in 2 wks. wa lao. so jus take mc n go chinatown to look for pyjamas. the prices there are lk 3x compared to the TPY's. amazing loh. abt 10+ shops all sellin ard the same price. oh well, at least managed to buy a red brolly at $5 n some more red ribbon at Golden Dragon. which saw cheaper ones at the 1st floor. oh well.

sunday

today went to buy bath towels, face towels, rolls of thread, ribbon, hand bucket.... all for the wedding, Guo Da Li. looked ard for sleepwear also, bt cant reali find smthin tt's lk "the one". ahhaha... shall go chinatown to look n c if got cheaper anot.

today mc. the flu n the cramps is jus too much man.


anyway, update on the past few days stuff:


thurs - lobo the whole day, waited for stupid client to provide the outstanding. which she give at 430pm, a simple email. wa lao. then i got to rush out the stuff cos is the last day of field. then finish work at 715pm (without lunch! cos tt place no lunch!!) n rush to the nails place at taman jurong. the maid v nice, cook cup noodles for me to eat. waited a while then is my turn for the nails. did express mani + pedi + french tips + 2 toe nail art designs. included buffering, 2 coats of polish n cuticle oil, n oso spray the express dry thingy on me. tho no dryer on the nails la, jus sit n watch tv loh. did until 10pm, then realised i wore the black patent peep toe shoes, cant destroy the pedi leh. then she v nice, lent me her slippers. reach bus stop ard 1010pm, waited v long for the shuttle bus to mrt. reach hm ard 11. hav to wait sm time to wash hair. asked mum to help me wash, hahaha... then pack bag n prep for tom's bintan trip!



fri - wake up at 630am. left hse ard 645 to go digio tampines. met dear at city hall mrt, bought mac bfast at tampines interchange. took shuttle bus to digio, reach ard 745. light drizzle rain. hopin tt bintan no rain. make up + hair n left for tanah merah ferry terminal. cab ride there was $8. waited at lobby for abt an hr, cos the ferry is the 1110 one. wa, so many kids loh. n they get to board the ferry first. was afraid will kana sea sick, cos din eat much in the morn. ate my halls sweet n tried to sleep. reached bintan n it was sorta grey sky, cos got rain there in the morn too. proceeded to the kelong n changed to the green EG.

took pics at the small hut at the kelong, at a corner of the hut, along the long wooden "road" of the kelong, sm pics of wearing shoes. weather v cooling!! cos aft rain mah, bt sky lookin better liao, got nice clouds.

then changed to the casual look - the short white puffy ROM dress. super comfy attire with the cute ballerina school shoes n the white shorts. proceeded to the mayang sari resort and took various locations:

- took outside a spa area. sm pics of playin with flowers in a pool, sitting on stone stools, sitting on a small pond area.

- against a large stone craving wall. sm jumping shots here, i tink. ahahah

- outside at the balcony of a deluxe resort. shots of leaning down on my hands etc.

- sitting/lying on a net hammock. kekek, stole sm resting time. heh!

- proceeded to the beach. sun's comin out liao! had sm runnin, jumpin (most xiong. man! abt 20 shots or retakes), n sittin on dear's shoulders. drew heart in sand. took sm back shots. sm leap frog shots. super thirsty man. sun super big n super tan liao.

- went to the lagoon, bt took at sm sand mountains first. got shots of on the winding road, then we requested to climb up the sand mountains for sm arty shots.

- took sitting down shots at the lagoon. oso took sm at the rd.

- end of day! went to ferry terminal to change n took 530 (SG time) ferry back. henry drop us at tampines mrt, had dinner there (found out my fav mutton soup gone, sobs). went home.

- sat : went to meridien view the Ruby setup, tok to April abt impending schedule. went to PS shop ard. met dear's frens for dinner at Cuppage Waraku n showed them the ROM albums. din get to meet the CGS gang cos they left early. then aft dinner they went to emily hill for drinks until abt 2am.

- sun : feeling super sick n feverish. din go to Meridien to c the Victorian theme. slept n ate dinner at dear's hse.

- mon (today) - mc loh. hahaha... 2 days! later gg for dinner with dear to celebrate, hehe.. nothing exp la, he wanted international buffet at furama loh. bt dun wan la. jus simple can liao. gg to anchorpt then ikea for sm feel of hw much furniture costs.

fri e 13th

today is the first day i'll b alone at the changi logistic hub since the US client left already yest. today sup to the final day of the work, bt got so many left i dun tink i can finish today. gonna overrun, which is troublesome cos my mgr nt replyin my emails (jus found out tt she went overseas assignment) then i dun wat to do... arghhhhhhhhh... lost n confused. smmore lk got misunderstanding bet the US client, US interoffice n us loh, on the length of secondment.


anyway, tuesday (10th june) was my SG photoshoot. the day went smtin lk tis:

9am - reach digio for makeup n hair. dear tried his suits, which he din get to try wen i went for final fitting last thurs (5th june). there was this cute dog tt was there with his owners to take photoshoot with them, haha... he was a v steady dog. no hyper, v calm. jus walk ard, stare at u n walk away, hahah...

?? am - haha, then lost track of time. we brought lotsa props too. went to rent a white lace brolly at $10, bought bubble gun at $15, brought along the precious moment crystal ball, soft toys, n even mahjong set which forgot to take out in the end, ahhaha...

anyway, for the pics is take the AD WG first. then is the champagne coloured gown, which looks v beautiful n the the award-winning design fm Her World Brides. shall post the pic fm my final fitting one:




then is take pics for the AD EG, which is shocking pink with black details.

love the backless look!! they help to add a diamondnite strip to hide the ugly beige net seam.

at abt 4pm, we left the studio to go SG outdoor shoot in tis gown:

first place went to is city hall mrt, cos tt was the place we first met each other. hehehhe... a lot of ppl look at us. got one bugger took out his hp n took our pic rite in our face. stupid person.

then we proceeded to dempsey there, took at a church first. sat on the grass in front. pokey grass at my thighs... then is at an old hse. kana bitten by numerous times on my arms n legs. its lk 20+ bites on my left arm loh. argh. took pics inside and outside the hse.

aft tt, is jus a drive opp to botanic gardens for the waterfall n the white porch. met another 3 couples there takin pics also, hahaha...

last place was to the fullerton area in my purple gown, to take the bridge n the museum nearby. also took sm pics by the river, backdrop against the boat quay stretch of shops.


its sup to hav a can can to fluff it up, bt during final fit no can can avail so the pic is w/o the can can. anyway the can can broke on tt day loh. so i walk ard with a plastic strip stickng out. so nan kan.

so tt ends the photoshoot day, we reach back digio ard 7, then change n remove makeup, pay $ n left for dinner. was quite disappointed wif the pictures cos more posey posey type, nt the carefree n special type tt we wanted n saw fm other albums. shall use the bintan trip to make up for it then...

wa, painted lk siao yest. gonna rent out tis comin sat so a lot of stuff need to finis up. paintin the gates sucks man! shoulders n hands n neck all achin ah.


anway, today went to choose gowns. took leave for tis man. in the end, chose 7 gowns for myself:


1) AD WG (beaded, white)

2) PS indoor WG (brown - award winning one wor!)

3) PS indoor EG (purple, corset look-a-like)

4) AG EG (shocking pink, chinese collar with black details)

5) PS Bintan EG (lime green, full beaded)

as for dear, he chose 5 suits! he lk the chinese collar one best, tho i tink it looks weird on him leh. oh well, see how loh.

9 more hrs!

busy day today. woke up early n went to uncle mike there 4 blessing, followed by lunch at tpy lor 6 with parents n ah zai uncle. then mum went to cut hair n we went to deco the guest book. aft tt, i went with parents to fetch ah ma fm jurong to our hse to stay over. was rainin cats n dogs n we took a cab back home.

dinner was a nice meal at the 煮炒 stall opp the Mitsubitshi building near my hse, followed by a stroll to NTUC b4 heading home. started doin up the DIY stuff, lk deco the weddin vow paper, prep the guest book pens, pack the wedding bears n Precious Moments glass ball to place on the registration table. then i started on the beauty routine - wash n blow hair n make fake nails. also did up a notice memo for the guest book as instructions.

v nervous abt tom. hope i dun stumble over my words. hope no rain tom!!

finali finalized my wedding vow liao!!!!

super no mood to work at all

went to ROM!

we woke up bright n early today to collect the ROM docs from the registry office. duno y we always kana the first slot one loh. Hdb first appt was at 815am n the registry office appt time was 830 am. since they give us an hr slot to complete the whole thing, we decided to reach at ard 9am instead. go so early later oso nothin to do mah.

was exciting doing the swearing and declaration of information and details (eg above 21, not previously married etc.) n took lotsa pics too, hahahha!!

aft tt we had bfast at Mac @ Funan and went to Popular at Bras Basah to buy the guest book. finally able to find one tt is perfect! small yet elegant. formal yet classy. then i went facial at 11am n dear slept at the spare bed next door, n we had lunch with auntie Jane aft tt at a quaint Burmese restaurant. my noodles were too spicy 4 me cos i cant take spicy food, bt tink dear's food was great.

next up on our packed 'things to do' was to collect dear's ring and to buy cloth. since it was still early, we decided to buy cloth. then as we were walking n talkin, decided to pop by Textile Centre to see if got cloth so tt do nt hav to walk until Arab st. wow! turns out tt the shop tt i've been wantin to go, tt sells fancy wholesale sewin knick knacks was there! so happy! bought crystals to deco my weddin shoes n crystal hearts to deco the guest book :)

then collected dear's ring, which was amended lower n bigger so it looks better! great!

last on the list was the cloth. decided to drop it n use balloons instead. so we went str to Daiso to buy the remainin tings :-

3) Stockings
4) Balloons
5) Fancy pens 4 guest book

ended buying #4 n #5 at Giant IMM instead, hahahaha... bt its been a fruitful day!!!!!

on leave today. was a long day. slept at 2+ yest coz cut n fold the invites til v late last nite.

tis morn hav hdb first appt at 815am, so had a hard time wakin up :(

was cold in the morn too, since it was rainin. worried its gonna rain on 23rd. pls pls dun rain!!!!

anyway, was a shock tt we hav to pay 23k within 10days. then the remainin 40k at the second appt. tot is all the COV at the second appt. so it was all financial stuff, lk hw to split the mthly cpf.

aft hdb, we rested a while at dear's hse cos he haven ate bfast yet. then we made our way dwn to meet AL for lunch n give her invite too. she lent me her mum's ring pillow, which looked v nice. thanks gal! had an exp chx rice lunch, which wasn v nice either. cost $22 for 3 person, cos of the tofu. treated AL to lunch, since she so nice to lend me ring pillow. if nt i'll hav to DIY, hahaha...

then we took bus to tanjong pagar to pass the invites to LSF, n tong bang GP's invite with her. bumped into dear's old colleagues, n he was lk 'wa lao', hahahhaha...

walked over to digio. felt v sian, cos i dun tink wil find smtin i lk. indeed the dresses were the same. so tried sm n dear help take pics with his hp. then wen i was changin, i heard another woman usin the fittin rm behind askin if she can take pic of her WG n was rejected by the fierce lookin woman who said 'no photography allowed unless u cfm ur gown already'. WA!! then i felt v paiseh, cos i take so many times liao.

then wen i changed out liao, dear whip out his hp agn. n i stopped him. n he was confused, hahaha... then amanda went upstairs to take another gown, n i signalled him over to the gowns area. n pretend to touch a gown n whispered to him wat hap, n he undst. then i realise - eh, the gown i was touchin looks nice leh. jus tt its spag la, so look a bit LC, hahahha... anyway, decided to try it.

AND IT WAS NICE!!!!





so tis is the gown tt i'm takin! hehehe... loved the back!!! so hapi!! turns out tt tis gown is not Digio's, is the GHA Tampines one. so amanda hav to wait til tom to check whether any1 usin tis gown on 23rd with GHA. my backup gown is the pom pom purple roses one, which din take pic, cos wen i wore it, the woman behind was rejected her foto request, ahhaha...

rechoose flowers to match the gown, n dear oso changed fm tux to a simpler jacket. aft tt, we went over back to tanjong pagar plaza where i went to Wen's hse to drop invite n as we were on the way to the bus stop hm, i saw tis v cute pair of rubber shoes. best ting? $4 only, hahaha... left one pair so i took it!

we decided to go hm put the stuff first, rest a while then go buy weddin shoes at anchorpt. v hapi tt the pair i wanted was stil on sale :)

proceeded to ikea to hav free coffee (hehhee!) n discuss the hdb financial plan n oso our mpc 'homework'. realised tt it was too noisy 4 us to discuss the mpc, so proceeded with e mpc stuff. calculated out everytin so its all split half half.

phew~~~ wat a lonnnngggg post. well, its a long day mah. bt hapi! my gown is settled!!!!

marriage prep

been readin up on the marriage prep courses since the last time we went to meet up wif JP n she mentioned tt it would b gd to go. so sent out a few emails to ask more abt the course outline, the prices n group size etc. tink we will go for the indiv one, cos more personnal. dear say if the gp size is small we can oso consider takin up the gp one too, cos gp one is cheaper. depends la, sm family service center ('fsc') charges the same nett rate for indiv n gp, jus tt indiv package gets more time spent with the counseller.

anyway, we r down to the following choices:
1) Hougang Sheng Hong
2) Daybreak @ Yishun
3) Tanjong Pagar FSC

oh ya, there will b $70 rebate upon completion of the course so stil nt so bad. bt the rebate is fixed, even if u take e most exp course it is stil $70. *bleah*

further updates on rings

decided to custom make the rings, cos it seems lk buying outside takes abt 2.5mths for them to get it in our sizes n it would b too late 4 tt. custom make can oso solve the prob of our rings havin to be one delicate n one chunky at the same time, hahaha....

went down to the wholesaler (is tt wats its called? dunooo ;p) n then they told us to get designs ready then they can make. they oso dun hav a lot of samples 4 us to choose, so its diff to visualise. ended up looking at many mags tt were there. went hm n surf online for designs n came up with these shortlisted ones:

been lookin ard for rings, n goin to diff shops to look at designs n prices. seems lk the guys one r v simple n nt as outstanding or decorative as the gals. anyway, dear wanted a thicker ring design, smtin lk a particular tiffany design. bt cos my fingers so small, the idea was dropped. so mayb we try get smtin tt would b delicate 4 my fingers n a similar matchin one for his, bt thicker?

set my eyes on a channel set half eternity type ring. duno ist too flashy?

weee! wkend! gonna exercise the option n place deposit tom liao. appeal against hdb on the HLE went thru n we got the HLE, so tom gonna meet mr ang n sign the official documents liao. then mon can submit to hdb to approve. gonna bring my parents to take a look at the hse, cos they haven look at it yet.

$5k cheque tom. heartpain. hahahaha...

oh ya, we started lookin at possible ROM dates too. estimate another 3mths to get keys, so ROM hav to be before tt. got go bridal show on 5th to look at ROM packages avai, bt nothin 'reali super great deal' tier leh. so jus take the materials 4 reference loh. gonna hav to b more active to look into other places for the ROM. budget $500 seems too too low liao, hahahahha

bridal shopping 6 - the final episode

haha... placed deposit with Di Gio already jus now, another thing settled! weee!!! although it is more expensive than The Aisle, we felt more comfortable with Di Gio. the staff there r reali v nice and accomodating, n v willing to listen to wat we want in the package and tailor it to meet my needs. calculate already, if we do not top up a lot of pics (ie 10 or >), we r stil in budget!

got a bit of oversight on the AD VG package tho, we would b able to get it $100 cheaper if we take from outside, bt oh well, nvm la. wen the date draws nearer then we see wana drop tt VG anot loh. thinkin of doing the AD morn montage ourselves, using the AD PG morn pics and do a simple ppt, so can save $200 cos dun hav to ask the AD VG to do it. see how loh.

hapi!!! one more thing settled!! was feelin v tired for the past wks gg to so many bridal shops, to and fro. today gg to Di Gio was the 4th time, ahaha... so pai seh. bought chocs 4 e 2 gals agn, hehehe...

rush rush mon

had to go back ofc in the morn to handover the NT stuff n do my timesheet. arghh... sup to b lk 15min to do the stupid timesheet bt then cork up!! my name already transfered to RAS bt grade wrong. tried n tried myself bt cant. give up. called IT n they tried bt cant. then ask me call HR. then its 1.29 wen i called. guess wat. they ask me call back later. ARGHH!! give up. decided to do up the manual amendment form so spent time typing out line by line, argh!!

suppose to leave ofc ard 1 n meet dear 4 lunch, bt end up ard 2 then i leave. was rainin wen i walked over to meet dear. :(

dear surprised me by meeting me at esplanade entrance, n hug me fm behind! din noe he was there, ahhaha.... muacks!

ate korean fd, n then i went over to Golden Horse Awards to see if got cheaper than Di Gio. oh well, no. hahaha... then i shop ard, look at nik-naks, look at wedding bands, then dear sms me "talk so long ah?" ahhaha... then i said no la, i walkin ard myself. then i asked if wana wait 4 him knock off anot, then he say 3+ only, go hm rest la. so i went over to shuttle bus stop, n saw it drive away!!! argh!!! fed up, told dear i wait for him la, another 1.5hrs b4 he knock off... hehe.... jus wan him to hug me on the way home, hahaha....

bridal shopping 5

went to uncle mike there in the morn, and then went to The Aisle (3rd time!) to try see if can negotiate to match Di Gio. managed to up the no. of pics to 36, and overall (plus AD PG + VG + montage), its cheaper than Di Gio by $400. of cos got other items (eg 12"x18" album, 2 CDs return, we b the poster couple), bt these items i wun place much importance one leh. the staff oso showed us a TW mag tt shows v nice wedding pics. said they r tryin to reach tt standard.

so dear said they r cheaper, bt doesnt mean they r of lesser std. if they can reali do lk 80% of the mag pics, its reali v gd already. bt i tell him its a qn mark leh. if they cant, n remains as current standard, then its reali bad.

so now its a matter of $ vs pictures. dear kip sayin its nt a matter of $. cos already spend abt $6K, wat is the $400? dun bcos of $400 n spoil/waste the whole $6K.

so now stil stuck on which to take :(
